New, more stringent safety requirements will probably be introduced in 2005 for car accessories. Thule is already able to present products that satisfy the proposed City Crash standards.
Easy to mount products and clear user instructions are one way of achieving safer transport of people and goods. Another way, is as far as possible to build in safety in the roof rails and transport accessories. Thule intends to be one step ahead in this respect. In conjunction with Automechanika 2004 we can present a series of products that already satisfy what will probably be the safety requirements of the future.
A proposal currently exists for new safety standards in accordance with City Crash. City Crash is a collision test intended to correspond to city traffic conditions. This standard which has not yet taken final shape, will probably be introduced during 2005 at the earliest. Leading car magazines and organisations are already using the proposed standard as a starting point in their safety tests.
Our new product's live up to the City Crash proposal's most stringent formulations. In addition to all of Thule's roofboxes, this also applies to the Thule ProRide, Thule Euroway and Thule EuroClassic Pro bike carriers as well as the Thule Rapid Fixpoint XT and Thule Rapid Crossroad load carriers.
