Gordano Sharks Snap Up Thule Sponsorship
|
Thule, the world’s largest manufacturer of car roof rack systems, roof boxes and accessories, have kicked off 2008 by renewing their partnership with the South-West’s number one local rugby club, the Gordano Sharks.
Thule’s sponsorship has provided Gordano RFC, also known as the Gordano Sharks, with a new set of tackle bags and a total of 60 team polo shirts for the under 13s, 14s and 15s junior teams.
Peter Barker, UK General Manager at Thule said: “It is with great pride that Thule are once again sponsoring this successful local rugby club. We have watched Gordano RFC grow over the years, and hope with this sponsorship they can continue their fantastic achievements.”
Gordano RFC Treasurer, Janie Instance said: “The players wear their new shirts before and after the game, and this enhances the feeling of team spirit and pride in their club. The shirts are also worn away from the club and will therefore benefit both the Gordano Sharks and the Thule brand wider afield.”
Gordano RFC’s junior teams continue to thrive with membership figures now at over 250. The club recently resurrected it’s under 16s team, following requests from young players themselves to train at the popular grounds, and have this season put out a very successful Colts team who play in the Bristol Combination League. The established club prides itself on training young players from the ages of four and five, right through to the first team and has many life long members.
