Thule Make More Room for Egg-stra Holidays

As schools close their doors for two Easter Holidays this year, families across the UK are looking forward to escaping the pressures of daily life and spending quality time together.
Transporting extra luggage on the car this extended Easter holiday couldn’t be easier with Thule’s most spacious of roof boxes, the Atlantis. Thule, the world’s largest manufacturer of car rack systems, accessories and roof boxes, designed the Atlantis range for maximum space efficiency. The biggest box in Thule’s range, the Atlantis could potentially add a massive 650 litres of capacity to a car - you could almost literally take everything with you but the kitchen sink!
The Visit Britain website says UK residents take more than 122 million holidays in the UK every year, pouring over 19 billion pounds into British tourism. Many families and couples going on more than one vacation a year and domestic trips during Easter, over the weekend and on bank holidays are becoming more and more popular.
When taking a break within the UK, the vast majority of people travel by car to their destinations, but with a vehicle full of people, transporting the family’s luggage as well can often be a problem.

The Atlantis fits easily to any roof-racked car thanks to the Power Grip system. The Power grip, which is used on both the Atlantis and the Spirit ranges, comes pre-assembled in the roof box. All users have to do is close the Power Grip claws close around roof bars of a maximum width of 80mm. The automatic self-centreing action means that the box can be secured safely and securely using only one hand if necessary.
Like many of the other Thule roof box ranges, the Atlantis, which comes in four sizes, from 340 litres up to 650 litres, can be opened from both sides, so it doesn’t matter which side of the pavement the car is parked.
Thule conducted a huge number of consumer and safety tests to aid the design of the Atlantis, and the results are clear. The Atlantis is an aerodynamically shaped box that compliments the shape of the modern day vehicle and utilises space to fit a maximum load.
