Thule are Official Cycle Carrier Suppliers for Tour of Britain
|
Thule, the world’s leading manufacturer of car roof rack systems and accessories will be officially supporting this year’s Olympic medal studded Tour of Britain, due to start on Sunday 7th September in central London.
The Great British Cycling Team will be attending the national race in force, including British Gold medallist Bradley Wiggins and fellow Olympians Chris Newton and Geraint Thomas - both winners of bronze medals in Beijing.
The opening stage will see riders complete 10 laps of a circuit through central London, incorporating some of London's most famous landmarks, including Big Ben and the Tower of London.
Thule will be officially supporting the Tour of Britain by supplying ProRide 591 cycle carriers, bars and fitting equipment to a selection of the team cars supplied by Vauxhall. Thule support various sports and their competitors through their Partner in Sport scheme, including Tim Brabants, Olympic World 1000m sprint kayak champion, champion veteran cycling team Thule MI Racing and budding 2012 cyclist, Melissa Bury.
The 16 teams of six riders will cover eight stages from London, through Milton Keynes, Chard to Burnham-on-Sea, Worcester, Kingston-upon-Hull, Darlington to Gateshead, Glasgow, and finishing with a coastline race from Blackpool to Capital of Culture Liverpool.
