World's First Electric Bike Carrier Launched
|
Thule, the world’s largest manufacturer of car roof systems, roof boxes and accessories have launched the world’s first electric bike carrier, the EuroPower, aimed at the booming electric bike market.
Thule launched the revolutionary new bike carrier for electric bikes, or e-bikes, at the IceBike Show in February. Electric, or ‘e-bikes’ provide a more leisurely alternative to exploring destinations on two wheels and recent demand for the bikes has risen greatly.

By producing the world’s first electric bike carrier, Thule have once again shown pioneering design is key to retaining their status as a world leading brand.”
E-bikes are wider than regular bicycles and can weigh up to 30 kg. As a result, e-bikes require special transportation solutions. Thule’s answer is a specially designed bike carrier which is wider and can carry heavier loads.
The EuroPower carries a maximum of two bikes and can be equipped with a ramp for easy loading and unloading. Like the popular Thule EuroClassic G5 cycle carrier, the EuroPower has a smart tilt function so that the boot can be accessed even with bikes loaded. The e-bikes are also secured safely to the carrier with a quick-lock moveable frame holder.
As with all Thule products, The EuroPower has been tested according to European quality standards and has a five year warranty.
