Kayaks and Paddles Named Thule Dealer of the Year 2008

Plymouth based canoe and kayak retailer, Kayaks and Paddles, has been named Dealer of the Year by Thule, the world’s leading car roof rack and sports equipment transportation manufacturer.
The store, which stocks Thule’s water sports equipment carrier range, has been awarded for achieving sales targets and actively promoting the Thule brand. The store beat over 200 other national stockists to win the award for the 2008 period.
Assistant Manager of Kayaks and Paddles, Matthew McWatt, commented: “Even through the current economic downturn, we are still seeing plenty of customers wanting to spend money on their leisure pursuits. Customers’ buying habits have altered in that they are more cautious in making purchases, but we have noticed that they are still going for Thule because of their reputation and quality.”
The award was presented to the team by Thule’s UK Brand Manager, Neil Sellers, who commented: “Kayaks and Paddles are an inspiration within Thule’s water sports sector. They have shown great initiative in attracting new customers and generating excitement in the brand.”
