Space saving ski transportation from Thule
|
For those hitting the slopes this winter, transporting bulky ski or snowboarding kit is made much easier with the addition of a roof box.
The world's largest manufacturer of car roof boxes and accessories, Thule, has a range designed specifically for the winter sports market. Large boxes provide space to store kit, whilst internal attachments can be added to secure skis inside the box.
The Thule Spirit roof box, available in 380 or 480 litre capacities, is a firm favourite amongst winter sports enthusiasts.
The aerodynamic design of the Spirit brings air resistance when travelling down to a minimum. Spoilers placed at either end of the box, coupled with grooves along the box length, channel the air for maximum efficiency. With the optional addition of the internal ski accessory, six to eight pairs of skis can be stored inside.
The Spirit's automatic self-centring mechanism and 'Power Grip' mounting action means that the box can be secured safely and securely to the car. Made from a recyclable ABS material, the Spirit comes in four colour variations.
The high capacity 520 litre capacity Excellence box, launched at the end of 2008, will also play a feature in ski resorts this season. With an optional ski carrier also available for the Excellence, six to eight skis or snowboards can be stored inside. The Excellence has an exclusive two tone, glossy design and is the most luxurious in Thule's range.
